As the mother of child with significant special needs, I am often asked by members of our community for information on resources, where to apply for funding for medical equipment, or how to do something specific.
The Canadian Disability Resources Database was created after realizing there was a need for a comprehensive and up-to-date database with this information.

A Few Facts About Us: Our personal blog, featuring information on special needs issues, and our adventures with our son: www.specialneedsreads.com We worked with the always wonderful IWK Health Centre (children's hospital) with fundraising and awareness, as an ambassador family. It is a pleasure to help the hospital that has given us so much. Cameron was chosen by the PC Children's Charity to represent their "charity bear" for the 2009 holiday season. A portion of proceeds from the sale of the "Cameron Bear" (sold all across Canada) went back into the charity & are benefiting other children & families with special challenges.
